1.Reservations, Bookings & Deposit
By making a reservation, whether in person, by telephone or email you are agreeing to The Villager Hotel Terms & Conditions.
You can reserve your room by paying the deposit of £45.00 at the time of booking. You may also pay for your room in full in advance of your arrival.
Reservations made for a Bank Holiday Weekend must be paid in full more than 1 week before arrival. If payment is not made more than 1 week before arrival the deposit is forfeited & the room reservation cancelled. Payment can be made by all major debit or credit cards.
A debit / credit card used must have an expiry date that is valid after the date of stay.
Please note that deposits are non-refundable.
Please also note that the debit / credit card details used for payment of the deposit are held as a guarantee for the room & also any payments required for subsequent cancellations.
The Villager Hotel accepts payment by cash & all major credit/debit cards.
(Please note that if payment is made in cash then a cash room guarantee will be required).
3. Room prices
Room prices are per room, per night and are inclusive of VAT. Meals are not included in the room price.
The Villager Hotel reserves the right to review its room prices from time to time. You will pay the room price as quoted at the point of booking.
Note that quoted room prices &/or special offers at The Villager Hotel may change up to the date of your arrival unless previously booked. The Villager Hotel room rates fluctuate according to the time of year & special events. For details of our most current room prices please telephone or email us.
Where special offers detail a night that is half price the half price offer will be applied to the least expensive night.
4. Booking Cancellations & Revisions
Cancellation of a room booking must be made one week before arrival unless stated otherwise on your booking confirmation.
If you cancel a room reservation more than one week before arrival you will only be charged the non-refundable deposit per room booked.
If you cancel a room reservation less than one week before arrival you will be charged for the entire duration of the stay. The customer will be issued with a receipt for this charge.
If the customer fails to cancel a pre-booked stay & is a ‘No Show’ the customer gives The Villager Hotel the right to charge the customer for the entire duration of the stay. The customer will be issued with a receipt for this charge.
If the customer changes a reservation, date or otherwise, payment will be due in full at the time the change is made & is non-refundable.
If a customer then decides not to change the reservation & revert back to their original reservation the payment is still due in full at this time & is non-refundable. Bookings made on the day of arrival are non-refundable.
A cancellation can only be performed by a Manager/Manageress. A cancellation reference will be issued by the Manager/Manageress at the time of cancellation. A cancellation is not accepted or confirmed until you have received your reference. It is your responsibility to ensure that you obtain the cancellation reference & until you receive this reference you are liable in full for your stay.
Cancellations may be confirmed in writing if requested.
Any revisions to bookings may incur a charge. The customer will be issued with a receipt for any charge.
5. Arrival and departure
Rooms are available from 3pm on the arrival date.
Reception is based in The Villager Pub on the ground floor.
Please let The Villager Hotel know in advance if you are likely to arrive after 11pm.
Your room must be vacated by 11am on the day of departure. Failure to leave your room by this time will result in additional charges up to and including the cost of one night's accommodation.
If you wish to check-out before 11am on your day of departure please arrange the day before departure at the reception area based in The Villager Pub.
A late check-out option is available for your day of departure. (Please note our late check-out option is chargeable). For full details please telephone or visit reception.
6. Particular requirements
A family room will accommodate the required number of adults & children as arranged at the time of booking.
The Villager Hotel can provide cots for a supplementary fee.
Although The Villager Hotel will make every possible effort to accommodate your personal requirements, all rooms are subject to availability. We apologise in advance if your particular requests cannot be met.
7. Dine With Us At The Villager Pub
The Villager Pub situated on the ground floor offers full restaurant facilities during normal pub hours until 8.30pm (times vary according to the season).
Meals are not included in the price of the room.
8. Car Parking at The Villager Hotel & Pub
We endeavour to provide car parking spaces for guests but they cannot be guaranteed & charges may apply. The Villager Hotel & Pub does not accept responsibility for vehicles parked in the car park. All vehicles are parked at the owners risk.
9. Please note
We regret that, with the exception of assistance dogs, no pets are allowed in The Villager Hotel. Any contravention of this will result
in a £100 charge. Any such charges will be debited from the debit/credit card used at the time of payment of the room deposit
(unless another debit/credit card or cash is offered and accepted) and may be charged after the guests departure.
Electrical appliances, such as toasters, mini cookers, portable grills and portable heaters must not be used in the rooms as they may set off the sensitive fire alarm system &/or could be dangerous. Any contravention of this will result in a £100 charge.
Reservations for rooms are non-transferable and must not, under any circumstances, be sold or otherwise transferred to a third party.
It is your responsibility to contact The Villager Hotel if you do not receive a requested booking confirmation letter with the Terms & Conditions attached. You must not advertise, market or otherwise offer any of The Villager Hotel’s rooms for sale either on its own or as part of a combined offer.
Prices include VAT.
All prices and details are correct at time of going to print and are subject to change without notice.
Guests are responsible for any solicitors & court fees incurred by The Villager caused by any breach in the Terms & Conditions.
Full Terms & Conditions are available on the website, at reception & a copy can be sent direct upon request.
10. The Villager Hotel’s Expectations Of All Guests
You are responsible for any missing items and any damage and/or soiling caused to the allocated rooms or the furnishings of the hotel. If any act, default or neglect by the guests results in any items to be thereafter missing, or any damage, soiling, setting off of any alarms or complaints from other guests, the customer shall be liable to pay to The Villager Hotel on demand the amount required to make good or remedy such damage. You are also responsible for the failure to return any keys or keycards, in the event that they are not returned at check-out you will incur a charge to replace the key/keycard.
Any such charges will be debited from the debit/credit card used at the time of payment of the room deposit (unless another debit/credit card or cash is offered and accepted)
and may be charged after the guests departure.
The Villager Hotel operates a 100% no smoking policy throughout. Smoking in a bedroom or any area within The Villager Hotel will result in a £100 charge. Any such charges will be debited from the debit/credit card used at the time of payment of the room deposit (unless another debit/credit card or cash is offered and accepted) and may be charged after the guests departure.
In the event of willful or negligent interruption to the business or other customers, The Villager Hotel will charge the amount of any loss to the Customer. The Villager Hotel will not be liable for any refund or compensation in such circumstances.
The customer/you means the organiser responsible for commissioning and payment of the stay.
The Villager Hotel reserves the right to cancel the Customer’s reservation without further notice if there is a breach of these Terms and Conditions.
11. Circumstances Beyond Our Control
The Villager Hotel does not accept liability for any failure to provide services contracted due to circumstances beyond our control including industrial action,
postal communication, plant failures, supply of gas, electricity and water or fire alarm evacuation.
The details of these terms and conditions do not remove the common law duty to mitigate losses.
